I have a more laissez faire attitude about my own hair (and forget about make up) and thus am not the person to talk to about blowing out and straightening, then scissoring a show cut. However, I can give you some great advise on general grooming and keeping your pup used to being clipped and bathed.

I had a friend of a buyer ask if I do street awareness with my dogs. In describing that I do take them out, I feel I didn't give a clear enough picture of the way the puppies are exposed to streets, sidewalks and traffic.

I love to expose the puppies to a variety of water environments, from bathing in the house, to baths outside in the farm tub and splashing in kiddy pools. Additionally it's a wonderful thing when the temperature is co-operative to be able to take the young pups swimming.

The pups have turned 4 weeks. They are starting to play more, pouncing on each other, mouthing on their mom, picking up toys and taking snoozes on them too. There is always time for a nap.

It has been a very sweet thing to watch Greta mother her own babies this year, as opposed to her baby brothers and sisters, as has been the case in the past.

When puppies are born, unlike human babies, their eyes are sealed shut and their ears are closed, looking almost like someone squished them shut on the underside, while the outer side has hardly a hair on the thick leathers of the ear flaps

It is important for the puppies to begin experiencing different textures, even at a young age. I like to gently introduce this by altering the type of material they are on in their "whelping" pool.

We are so happy to have friends of all ages groups come and visit and love on our pups, and others who have us to their homes for dinner parties or just a get together with puppies and big dogs in tow.

As this was a Cesarian birth I wondered if it would be harder for the babies to nurse. Would they take to it, the way a natural birth baby would?
